Microsoft will make a computer up and freeze...lol. Actually it could be a lot of things. I'd recommend clearing your cache, and defraging your hard drive incase it's something related to that. Make sure your virus software is up to date!! Running a scan wouldn't be a bad idea. It also could be Adware/Spyware/Malware related if none of those work...PM me if you have questions about that .

mmmmkay, I'm a mac user, and I don't know what browser you're using, so this is just a guess..
I use safari, under the safari menu you can pull down to "empty cache"..
on my internet explorer, if you go to the explorer menu, to preferences, then select web browser, and under that advanced, there's an option for emptying the cache.
it's probably something similar on internet explorer on a PC..
if what I said doesn't work, try googleing for "empty cache" and whatever browser you're using, and you should be able to find some directions..
I hope that helps.

Amid the tornadoed Atlantic of my being, do I myself still forever centrally disport in mute calm; and while ponderous planets of unwaning woe revolve round me, deep down and deep inland there I still bathe me in eternal mildness of joy.

for disk clean up:
Start->Programs->Accessories->disk clean up
for cache clear (Internet explorer):
Tools->Internet Options->Delete Files and Delete Cookies.
