I hate to nag but quick reply would be nifty.

i don't know, it always makes me think what's the point? there's a post reply button there to use. i do know that it might be useful if there was some kind of emergency and a reply had to be made quickly for whatever reason but we've all managed ok so far without it. for me though it just seems a little lazy, and knowing the way i get it would end up upsetting me just because i'd think people were thinking i'm not even worth pushing a reply button to respond to me

crazy i know, the smallest things usually feel the hugest deals to me but i'd just figured if i think that way others could too. nothing against you astar, just wanted to add my long winded excuse of a view :)

When you read a post, at the bottom of it is a window to type your reply in.

It's one less window basically, because you can press "submit" from the window you read the post in, rather than reading, clicking "post" waiting for a new window, and then posting from there.

You don't get smiley options with it, but you can type the codes manually.

For me, I'd find it useful and would probably reply to *more* posts, as I'm just low on time!

Even more!!! :o

I'm not particularly bothered either way. It would prabably make it easier for people on slower connections, though might make the board less colourful. I usually use code anyway.
