thanks a lot, it'll be good to have a place to refer people to for answers to these frequently asked questions.

Very cool... I was wondering if it might be a good idea/possible to put a link to it on the main page like up at the top by the calendar link & the other buttons. Just throwing it out there. Fab job Trees-U Rock (as do you Deb)

Edited: Oh, there is already one up there... FAQ II / dunno, nevermind...

Nope! I'd go and make a list but I don't know at what number people get their buses etc... I could always go and find out, but it'll take a little while.... hey, maybe I will! :o (but no promises)

edit:

allrighty, the updated list is here:

It should be correct, though no guarantees!

name change

Post by yin » Mon Apr 19, 2004 4:47 pm

Maybe this was somewhere in faqs but I missed it.

I am feeling scared and pretty exposed after thinking about some of the things I've written here and to protect my privacy I'd like to change my name that I'm known by on bus. It's the same as the email name I use for a lot of other things and would be really easy for people who know me to recognize if they came on this board.

I tried to change it in my profile but it always reverts or defaults to the name I registered under. I know it's against the rules to use two accounts and that wouldn't really help anyway. I'd like to be able to change everything I've posted - around 30 posts. Is that possible?

I'm sorry I didn't think of this before. Dumb, huh?

not dumb. and lots of people have this question. It's possible to change your name, you have to PM and admin.

my profile

Post by Forget Me » Mon Apr 18, 2005 1:37 am

i have an issue with my profile, i cant update it. i put an imood indicator in my sig, and then next time i went back, there was a HUGE block of html in my sig, like, enormous, and i cant update my profle any more. i was wondering if the page maybe mixed the bottom half of the profile page html with the html in my profile? i'm not sure, but i would appreciate it if someone would have a look... lol

the html is the imood setup. i've tried taking out some unnecessary stuff, though; let me know if it still won't let you edit your profile.

BUS stands for "Bodies Under Siege" which is the title of of book (subtitled "Self-Mutilation in Culture and Psychiatry) by American psychiatrist Armando Favazza. This book was one of the earliest to really seem to understand SI.
(Case you're wondering, Favazza knows about BUS and is happy for Deb to use the name.)
