Little black dots

what are the little black dots on some of the topic pictures. it doesn't appear in the key at the bottom of the page. i have noticed it in a few topics including ANSA in arc. does anyone know what they are?

cause I get them in topices I replyed to. no idea why but hey.

They do mark topics you have replied to previously.

I don't know who came up with this, but I like it. It helps me find things more quickly, particularly in parts of the board that move fast (like Place).
