Inboxes and outboxes

Post by friarygirl » Sun Aug 03, 2008 1:15 am

My inbox register says 108% full. My outbox says 123% full. So what's happening, is it automatically deleting the ancient stuff, or is it going to get fuller and fuller? Should I be deleting minor messages and keeping stuff I might want to refer back to in case it gets automatically wiped?

It will delete the oldest stuff.

If there is stuff that you absolutely want to save you can always put it in the save box

Oh crap. I was hoping you weren't going to say that. This means I have to expend serious energy on sorting through my ancient pms and saving the ones that matter, doesn't it?

Well thanks anyway, at least I can go and do that, not just get mad when I found some of my pms from 2002 are missing...

I remember having to do this about a year ago...it's kinda fun, to go back and read old PMs.

I suspect (although I don't KNOW...) that mods and admins have a larger box capacity, and thus when you stopped being staff, suddenly you had more than the normal person's box can hold. I don't know if it will delete stuff or not, but... I had to do the "cleaning out" when I got off staff, cause my box was at almost 200%. :o
Now that I am back on staff, I have plenty of room...so I guess anyone who wants to PM me can, I have room for it now.

I remember! I was pretty new, and it scared me. I thought I must have done a LOT of things wrong or upset someone. But then there was nothing there!
