need help with pm's

I've sent three pm's that don't seem to be getting through. They do not appear in my "sentbox" but are in my "outbox". Can you explain what's going on? Do messages sit in the "outbox" until sent so that this would seem to be a question of time (it's been about 7 hours since I sent the first one)? Or do I have a problem?

the messages will sit in your outbox until they are picked up by the person you ent them to. Once they open them, they get transferred to your sent box.
