more public avatars

jessica sent me some public ones back in september, and i've finally gotten them up.

animals - cat face, dolphin, 2 different wolves
eclectic 2 - peace sign
fairies_angels - 1 fairy
fantasy - 1 (gorgeous) pegasus head
famous_people - a great new eeyore

i'm really happy when people send avatars for public use. you can send them as attached files to

avatars@busmail.org

you can send ones you want reserved for your private use there, too. don't worry too much about the file size; if it's below 6k it's prolly okay and a lot of times i can make the file size smaller. the picture itself should ideally be 80 x 80 (i can deal with the either the width or length being as much as somewhere around 100 if it really has to be, but try to keep it reasonable). if you don't know how to make the picture you want smaller, send it to me and i'll reduce it for you and we can see if it still works.

to change your avatar, edit your profile using the "profile" link at the top of the page.

24 new avatars in the anime section, thanks to fuyumi and shell. fuyumi also gave us one in the famous people section of yoshiki, the "song-writer, pianist and drummer in X-Japan."

there's 1 new in animals (a hamster inside a pumpkin) and two new in eclectic2, all from bbmaru.

i just added a whole bunch of new avatars -- i don't remember who gave them to me, cause they were in a directory i thought i'd emptied.

fantasy -- a unicorn gathering
animals -- a cow, a raccoon, and a kitty w/plant (the kitty from angelafree)
angels/fairies -- four new
eclectic2 -- 16 new, including some really cool fractal stuff

I have a bunch of avatar pictures that I have found, I have reduced the sizes of them in photoshop, to what appears to be small enough. But, I know you guys are pretty backed up there at the minute, so I wonder should I send them now, or wait for a little while? These are all going to be for public use, theres quite a few there, mostly fanasy and mystical stuff. SHould I send them in now, or wait for a bit, till you have all had a chance to clear the backlog?

If you want to look at the images I would be sending please visit The Avatar Gallery on my website. I have put all the pictures I have found up there, the size they are on the site is the size of the files I would send, although I am currently fiddling about with 9 or 10 of the images there to make them a little smaller.
