So, yeah, I'm on the hunt for a netbook again. I'd really like to find something for less than $300 USD, but searching the net, I dunno if I can find one that cheap.
Any suggestions for a good brand? The specs I need are the same. Word processing program (even sumthing as simple as Notepad/Wordpad) and *maybe* picture editor. Thanks all!

They are offering this to you (as MS Office) for an extra $99. Your call but OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) does the same job, is freeware and integrates seamlessly with MS Office.Word Processing
This has very little to do with your machine. If you have an ADSL connection it depends on the quality of the copper wire b/w you and the DSLAM which receives information for you as well as the distance b/w you and the DSLAM. If you are on cable, it depends on how many other users there are who share it.Decent Online Speed

They are (by definition) on-line so have nothing directly to do with the machine. How easy it will be for you to play them will depend depend on your ADSL/cable connection speed (see my comments above).Online Games
