I just clicked the link for the Before You Post thread, and it gave me an "only mods can read this forum" error. I thought that thread was for everyone?

You're right - everyone should be able to read. We had temporarily set a thread to allow anyone to post (even guests) so that people could post about Laura. I think I've fixed it now.
