Unable to get onto the board
I dunno if this was just me or something, or the same kinda thing that happened a while ago, but for the past couple of hours I was unable to get onto the board.... I just kept getting the standard firefox "unable to connect to server" and "check you've spelt it correctly". I had done, and then the board just came back up again unexpectedly. Other people I knew could get on though
I dunno
was it just me and my puter? or something to do with the board?

I couldn't either.
And no, I don't have any idea what caused it.

We know, cos it's happening to us too. But there's nothing we can do about it -- it's a server thing as far as I know.

I'm not very techie either, I just repeat what I hear ![;) ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Server = big computer that BUS is hosted on.
The main point I'm trying to get across is that the mods and admins can do nothing whatsoever about this, and I suspect all that Deb and/or Mark could do would be to complain at the company hosting our servers. But the company presumably already knows there is a big fault somewhere, these things take time to fix.
Anyway, I may be completely wrong, I just repeat what I hear![;) ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Please be patient. There are threads all over the place discussing what you can do if BUS isn't available -- use them. I would guess that the problems might also affect BUS email list, but definitely not Livejournal or chat.

i didn't NEED to get on, it wasn't an emergency- i just have very little time lately to get on and i was worried i wouldn't get on today and then never get back to people i hadn't been in touch with.
hopefully the problems have stopped and everyone will be able to get back on![:) :)](./images/smilies/E1.gif)
