When you post a reply there is an option above the text box that says 'Font size' if you highlight the text you want to change the size of and then click on the arrow next to the 'Font size' text and pick the size you want. It should than hopefully work automatically.

But if you want to do it manually. write this at the start of your text '' (alter the number to change the size, the smaller the number the smaller the text will be) and then put this '[ /size]' (minus the space between the [ and / ) at the end of the text.

Try it. Does that work?

Sorry i'm not great at clear explanations. :-?

An easy way is to hit QUOTE as if you were writing a reply. Then you'll see it normal size in the text box.
Alternatively, you can copy and paste the small text into another document to view it.
