notification problems

Post by sine nomine » Mon Oct 02, 2006 11:57 pm

if you're not getting notifications, can you do several things to help me figure out where the problem lies?

1. double-check the email address in your profile and make sure it's right. i get a lot of bounce notifications and i don't look at them before deleting them.

2. check the spam folder (if you have one) on your email account. make sure stuff isn't ending up in there by mistake. sometimes some mails will get sent to spam heaven and others will go through, so check that first.

3. make sure your mailbox has room. some of the vounces are from full mailboxes.

if all of that looks good, please try to give me an idea of how many are missing (i know that may be hard to figure out) and when the posts that you should have been notified about were made.

this hasn't beena huge priority for me and i honestly can't say how much attention it will be getting, at least for a while, but i am willing to try to help figure out what's happening. there may not be a solution, either.
