irc chat not working

i can't download java because of my priviledges on my computer.. and the irc chat isnt working.. if theres any way to fix this please let me know. or that way you guys know. thanks.

The irc chat *is* the java chat. But I'm guessing you mean you can't access #bus with mIRC or another irc client? In that case, what happens when you try?

Can you talk to the person who is the administrator of the computer and ask them to allow you to download java?
