FireFox: Hiding images in sigs

This is one of a series of posts on how to use FireFox to make reading bus easier and more fun. And yes, they all have these three paragraphs at the beginning.

FireFox is an awesome browser -- you'll forget why you ever wanted to use IE (or Opera or Safari). Go ahead, <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/">get it now</a>. I'll wait.

Okay, good. The beauty of Firefox is that <a href="http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions/">you can install extensions</a>. Ever use a program and wish it had that one nifty feature that would make it absolutely perfect? With FireFox, there's a good chance someone else has had the same thought and written a little add-on to make the feature happen.

The enhancement mentioned in this post is a Greasemonkey script -- to use it first you have to install Greasemonkey, so go <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/748/">install it</a> now. The restart FireFox and come back here.

Hiding images in signatures

To install this one, right-click <a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/1 ... s">here</a> and choose "Install this user script."

When you have Signature Image Hider enabled, a post that looked like this:

All Greasemonkey extensions can be turned off and on by right-clicking the Greasemonkey icon at the bottom of the FireFox window:
