Hi, I'm Ash and I'm an avatar wrangler.
There's been some problems as of late about the email address to send avatars you want reserved to.
The right one is bus.avatars@gmail.com (thank you to Priceless for getting the gmail account)

how long does it take for avatars to be placed on the reserved list and how do I know what list it will be on?

It could take a little bit depending on how backed up the wranglers are and what kind of time they have at the moment
You will find your avatar in the reserved section

There's a zillion reserved sections -- I think it will be in the highest numbered one.
