OT Address bar help!

Okay this doesn't have to do w/BUS but I've got a real problem. I accidently did something today and now my address bar is gone! I can't type anything in like www. I have to go to my home page and search for the site. I even went into tool and checked address bar but it didnt work

if going to view > toolbars> address bar doesn't bring it back, you can at least open new pages by going to file> open and typing in the url.
