Problems logging in

I still want to know - do you get totally logged out when you log out??

It really IS important - neither I nor my d would want to pry in each other's private spaces, but if it takes 2 go's to log out like it takes to login - well we're only human, but neither of us would want to accidentally pry - somebody PLEASE put my mind at rest here - we're very careful of each other's privacy, is bus being as careful too??

yes, you get totally logged out if you log out. the board deletes the user session it's made for you and edits the cookie to indicate that you're not logged in anymore.

Deb - I hate to disagree, was going to set up a separate post anyway, but I saw this first.

Earlier today, I logged on (first time out of the 2 now required) only to find myself logged in under my d's username, who had been on bus previously and HAD logged out. It seems to only entirely log out if the internet connection is exited between uses. Don't know if this is a problem with our pc or the new setup, but it's not happened before.

We access busboard via a 'favourites' link - and I don't know how to change that to your 'secure' address?? And would that help a total log-out anyway?

I know it won't matter for most people, but d and I share a pc, so it is pretty important for us to maintain privacy.....

Maybe there's a more secure way to log out? Advice, please

Make sure neither of you click the "always remember my password auto login" That and close your internet browser between uses.

HELP!!! ichanged over to buslist like you all said to.now it will not let me log on at all. what am i doing wrong? to get back here i had to go to a saved fav. post and get back to this page and i dont even know if it will post this. ive been working with this for ever and im panicing. help me please!!

What exactly happens when it won't let you log on? You get to the screen, type in your name and password, and then what?

Can you still log in to busmail instead or is that not working now either? I'm puzzled why you had to go to a saved post to get here.

hi, ok, i had been having a lot of trouble logging in and staying logged on, and not being able to get a post posted so i did what Boogie Man suggested and logged into bus through buslist instead of busmail. well when buslist came up i tried to log on and after entering my name and password and hitting log in the screen just went back to the log in screen where the name and password boxes were empty so i retried that several times. no luck so i tried to go to a different place (i think it was down a long days arc) and it wouldnt let me log on there either. so i went back to busmail and couldnt log on there either so after a lot of going here and there and everywhere i could think of i finally went to fav. where i had saved Boogie mans post ,just in case, and i went from there to adm. and tech. and left a paniced post. and wouldnt you know it the puter worked like a dream after that. but i didnt try to close out and go back through buslist. i just now got back on the puter and saw the notice of a answer to my post and got on through the link in your answer. havent tried to see yet if it will work by going to buslist. this prob. makes no sense to you so sorry. i not that great yet on puters but usually have no prob. following instructions. thanks for any help, but i cant stay on line as long as i like so will check back for help as often as i can.
