pms with multiple usernames?

Post by friarygirl » Sat Jan 01, 2005 4:21 am

Just a quickie - can anyone tell me how to send the same pm to about a dozen ppl at once? Like an e-mail to multiple adresses, or a sms text to 'many'?

Would appreciate advice.
Happy New Year!!!! :D

I've often wished you could do that, but I don't think you can. Anyone know?

Lol silent - you sound about as together as me!!!

Anybody else got any ideas? Just it comes in handy for Happy New Year, asking several ppl the same private question, well, just loads of stuff - I often text to 'many'....

Help -- PM question

Post by Space_Man » Tue Jan 11, 2005 10:07 pm

I have a quick PM-related question, and so I thought I would ask it within this already-started thread:

What is the difference between PMs in the "sent" box, and PMs in the "outbox?" I have this sinking feeling that the PMs still sitting in my "outbox" -- for some reason -- never actually got sent to their recipients....

HELP!

PM'S in the Outbox never got sent - I think - and PM'S in the Sentbox did get sent. I think that's right.

when you click send on a PM, it goes into your outbox and it stays there until the person you've sent it to reads it - once it's been read, it goes to your sentbox. so if it's still in your outbox, the person hasn't read it.

I'd imagine that if we could send the same pm to multiple users, we'd get even more spammers here

yeah, that's a worry. right now, we've got someone who sent out more than 100 spam messages. i really don't want to make that sort of thing too easy. i'll look into it. also, installing a mod is a huge pain because of all teh files that have to be edited -- each theme requires some editing.
