no e-mail notifications

Post by Susa » Sat Aug 28, 2004 3:06 pm

I have not gotten any e-mail notifications in the last few days for any of my subscribed threads or IM's. There is nothing in my Spam folder and I have BUS address in my e-mail address book so BUS is part of the "People I know". I am not the only one this is happening to. There are others in the threads I go to that are mentioning it, but I don't see that it has been reported.

HELP!

As to why so many notifications have been going to junk mail

Yahoo and hotmail have recently upgraded their junk mail protection as well as a few other things
If you are running your bus mail to either of those then that explains the junk notifications

If you are running on another email system then I am not too sure
I know that several services have been upgrading all sorts of stuff including spyware and virus scans which have included junk mail btu I can't tell you exactly who is doing what.

I have had lots of trouble with hotmail for a couple weeks so I changed things from yahoo to a couple different accounts
This didn't help

I am still not getting any bus notifications

I think this is a bus database thing
I am technicalogically challenged so maybe someone who knows more can tell you exactly what is happeneing.

jo, i'm inclined to agree w/u that it's a bus thing, cuz i'm getting emails from a yahoo group i belong to, as well as another phpBB group i belong to.

i even went in my profile and changed it so i'm s'posed to automatically get replies to any thread i post on. and still no emails. :x :-?

I'm not getting any either. And I don't use hotmail etc, so no junk mail filters.
