Email notification????NOT

question.....i have my profile set correctly....i want to receive email notification of replies to posts and for pm's.....actually it's always been set correctly. but the last 3 weeks or so....i never get notification of my pm's....ever. why would that be. i had previously been getting email notifications for pm's just fine.....since january 2004....why problems now????

for some reason, all my email notifications lately have gone to my junk email inbox, is it possible that your mail is blocking BUS?

I know that Yahoo and Hotmail have recently upgraded their spam filters so bus tend to go to junk mail
If you are using either of these mail services just go to junk mail and read the mail and click that it is not spam or that it is approved for your inbox
That has fixed most of my problems

thanks.....i use yahoo.....so i will try this....i usaully automatically detete bulk mail....will look from now on!

so are you saying that just by moving the bus notification from my bulk mail to my in box ....this will fix it. btw, i just have a problem w/ notifications about pm's ....notifications about regular messages are just fine. when i opened the message in bulk mail, i didn't see anything that allowed me to say it was NOT spam. when i moved it to inbox....i did see a button which would allow me to designate it as spam, which of course i did not want to do.

so, is simply moving it, enough??? if there is something else to do, i'm not seeing where it is....there is no 'this is not spam ' button in the bulk mail box that i could see.

help anyone??

No, I'm pretty sure you need to do something more than just moving them. If there's no "This is not junk" sort of button, try adding the address to your address book or safe list or something.

thanks....i just got another pm email notif. in my bulk mail and this time....duh....i did notice a 'this is not spam' button. so i clicked. we'lll see what happens. i did delete the notification after that....hope the memory of it's significance was not deleted as well!

glad you found the "not spam" button, it hid from me for a while too..

I've been trying the same thing, but it doesn't seem to have helped. I have yahoo mail, and have been marking the stuff from BUS as "not spam" which moves it to my inbox, and then deleting it..
however, it continues to come to the bulk mail folder..

I'll try adding the address to my address book, that's a good suggestion.
