kind of a fluffy question

Post by littlethings » Fri Aug 13, 2004 8:38 pm

I just noticed, when a thread is locked, at first it's a gold color lock and then it turns into the grey lock.

Is there a reason for this, or is it just a board style thing?

It just seemed odd to see a gold lock on a thread...

I warned you it was kind of fluffy

I think it's a new topic vs. old topic sort of thing. All the other kinds of topics have different colors for old and new.

i get green padlocks with my board theme :)

its because the thread in question had been updated since your last visit to the forum, or in this case it had been *locked* since your last visit.

then it would have changed to grey when you either *read* the topic, or refreshed the forum page (i think)

the symbols are actually explained at the bottom of the page when your browsing a forum.
