- Did I identify what feelings were leading me to want to SI?
Um. Yes and no. - If Yes - What were they, and how did I figure them out?
I didn't really figure them out. I understood I was on "the edge", but my emotions were fine-ish. Hard to explain. - What coping skills did I use to deal with these feelings?
Not the feelings, but the urge: I talked to somebody (not about the SI - just about anything) who is pure awesome, took regular drinks of cold water and put the sharp thing down. - Were these coping skills the most effective I could have used?
At that point in time - I believe, yes. - If No - What coping skills got me through?
Look up. - Why do I think they worked?
Talking to someone awesome made me feel "better" (even though I don't think I was feeling particularly bad...), and for some reason, drinking water from the tap just helps me not to SI. It doesn't necceserily distract me though. - How can I deal with these feelings more effectively next time, before the urge to SI sets in?
I didn't identify the feelings very well, so I can't answer this question properly.

Being able to manage the urge and knowing what works is good. I'm happy you got through it. And it's good you know awesome people.
Do you think it might be easier to identify feelings when you're more calm? I know sometimes when I'm dealing with something rough, it's harder for me to pin the feelings down while they're happening, and easier to do after the fact.
I also know I sometimes have a hard time grasping the reasons because I don't feel like they're good reasons. You ever have anything like that?
