..I read that even inactive members of the welcome wagon stay member...I was just wondering why? Wouldn't it be clearer to "sort out" the inactive members?

I know I don't run this place, but just to back up everything Pinky has said..
I often send welcome PM's, just forget to post - and I'm sure there are lots of other doing so. Also round about exam time, I become inactive - then active again once exam's are over.
So there's always a chance that inactive member's will become active again.
