..I read that even inactive members of the welcome wagon stay member...I was just wondering why? Wouldn't it be clearer to "sort out" the inactive members?

hi Ice_crystal, even though there seems to be alot of 'inactive' members,
we do have alot of members that send out the welcome pm's but just
don't post here when they do, because either they are too busy at the time or
just forget, like i sometimes do...

I know I don't run this place, but just to back up everything Pinky has said..

I often send welcome PM's, just forget to post - and I'm sure there are lots of other doing so. Also round about exam time, I become inactive - then active again once exam's are over.
So there's always a chance that inactive member's will become active again.
