It basically depends on me and the mood.
If Im not in a rush and I am around for a while then I will send a different one to each member but if i am rushed off my feet and I am only on for a few mins i will copy and paste.

I do have a generic message that can be sent but I make an effort of personalizing it in some way. If there is info in the profile then i will try to include that in the pm some way. If they have already made a post, i try to use information in the post when I contact them.

i too have a generic message that i send out but try to personalize it,

I have a generic welcome, if i have time i'll just use it as a template and make it more personal, otherwise i just copy n paste.

Nothing to feel guilty about, any welcome is better than none, in my opinion.

i copy and paste most of the time too Starbright, like Alex said and i
agree with any welcome is better than none :)

even though sometimes i try to personalize it if they have already
made a post and have alot of questions about how to 'do things' here...
