Sometimes looking for new threads that people have created can be quite hard, i for one have not been able to spot one for quite a while as unless they start with something like 'hi i'm new here' it's not always easy to notice. However if you find yourself in this position, or simply just want to welcome as many new people as possible you should check out the Introducing myself thread on main.
