Hitting and coping. HELP

I am a self injurer more fermilar with cutting but i havn't cut in 6 months today. I started hitting my self with things. Not to cut but just to hurt. I don't know how to deal with this.
Has any one had expierences with this form of SI.

If so i need help.
if my mom finds out I can't go to camp.

Camp is everything to me

Please advice

i'm not super experienced with hitting, but I do it sometimes when i'm angry.

maybe you could try different coping techniques, and see if any of those work. squeezing pillows, or throwing things work well for me. (but if you try the pony beads thing, put a blanket or something on the floor first, so you don't spend three hours trying to pick up and find all the little beads.) hope you find a good solution.

I do have experience with that form of SI, but I don't know how sharing that would help you.

What helped you overcome your urges to cut? Usually things that worked for one method of SI will work for others too.

I have experience in that form of SI. But as Mallie said I don't know how my sharing experiences with that will help you.

Could you per chance look at the stickies here, or take a gander around the Coping forum to find new ways to cope? Go to Before and After and answer the questions there?

Challenge yourself. Find new and better ways of coping that aren't SI.
