I need help.

Post by beccalitton » Tue Mar 28, 2006 7:40 am

I have been cutting off and on since I was 14. I am 16 now. I am tired of doing it and it is taking a toll on my life. My friends are beginning to turn their back on me. I am losing interest in the things I used to love most. I have also attempted suicide a number of times in the past year actually. I am just looking for ways to better deal with my problems. I am tired of living this way and I wonder. Do I even deserve this happiness that I so greatly desire? I am unsure. I just need help and advice and whatever someone can give to help me out. I am desperate, lonely and tired of letting it out on my body. This has all lasted for far too long and I am ready to end this phase in my life. Can someone please help me?

Welcome to BUS, and specifically to coping :moo:

I'm going to congratulate you. Because you've stated that you want this horrible phase of your life to end. A lot of the time, wanting things to change is the hardest step (one a lot of people here myself included) struggle with from year to year to year. Well done.

BUS is a great resource.. look around, there are coping methods, different ways to look at life and a lot of people to encourage you.

Generally what you have to do, is fight it. You have to reach out to people who can help you, and believe that you can get through it and lead a spectacular life.

Of course you deserve it. You are special, but I can't tell you that, you have to find out how yourself :star:

Stopping SI and overcoming depression isn't easy, because it's a kind of circle that doesn't seem to end. I hope you find the end :star:
