hotline numbers showing up on call records?

Post by bluefruitbowl » Fri Mar 24, 2006 4:49 am

Sometimes I've wanted to talk to a person when I'm feeling bad or overwhelmed or what have you, and so I think of calling a hotline. However, I never do, because I never know if hotline numbers show up in a call record. Does anyone know the answer to this? If I were to call a 1-800 hotline, say 1-800-784-2433, would it show up on my call record, specifically for a verizon cell phone? Thanks so much.

In my experience (although I use a different provider), yes, it does show up on cellphone records. Every number you dial does.

for a fixed line phone i think some of the hotlines will not show up on the bill, generally cos they are a free call. thats afaik for oz anyway. could you look that up online somewhere?

If you have access to a pay phone, you can call from there. It won't cost you anything to call a 1-800 number from a pay phone.

I dont know about your phone, but I can delete numbers from my call records. I have done that a couple times and no one even knows it happened... Just a thought.
