I'm sorry you're feeling this way. Could you leave your house (or wherever you are) and get away from the book? I know when I read stuff that disturbs me, a change of scenery is sometimes helpful. If you can't leave (or just don't want to), just try to make it through it. I know there's really nothing I can do to help, but you're in my thoughts and I'm sending you good vibes. (oh, and a chicken!) :rchick:

You can do this, SI is a choice that you don't have to make. You don't need to escape, sometimes you need to just feel.

It's probably a good idea that you don't read the book until you're in a better headspace. It doesn't make you bad or crazy or anything like that to stop reading the book because you can't handle it. Everyone has subject matter that at times they can't deal with.

In sourcebook there's a post on how to deal with panic and anxiety - maybe that will be a good read for you. If you have a counselor/MHT, try talking to them.
there is, in the end, the letting go.
