Wow my first topic
yes a little kiddish but i'm after anybody who may have seen any nice playtents/ or ideally a tent which involves no ground pegs or guide ropes so it can go indoors (as big as poss clearly as I am infact 19 and not all that little anymore

)
The idea being that I want to create a safe place that visually blocks out the outside world/outside problems and make a safe space... put some cushions and a duvet inside with a battrey powered night lihgt and keep my emergency box in there....somewhere I can retreat when the urge hits me
If any body has got any good ideas please could u let me know??
I've seen a couple... i'm hopeless with dimensions though - not sure if I'd fit lol....
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 35-2960600 - randomly doesn't even have dimensions??!!
http://www.petitesouris.co.uk/acatalog/ ... _Toys.html - the my little pony tent
http://www.babyenterprise.com/Popup_pla ... rotect.htm
let me know any ideas/ thoughts on any of this... cheers guys, love to you all xx

Did you ever make "forts" as a little kid with chairs and couches and blankets and lots of cushions inside? Just a thought...

maybe try a sports store. i know here they have tents that pop-up. they don't need the ground pegs & such. & i've seen small ones. i've never priced them so i'd guess they'd be a bit more expensive than the ground-peg type but really i haven't a clue.
hope you find something

that is SUCH a good idea!!!!! i was wondering how i could make a fort that my dog wouldn'T take down in seconds with all his playfullness. a tent like that would be perfect, coz i can take it down again quickly when i go to work! ooo... now i've got something to save money for!
thanks for posting this idea!

Cosidering that tent - little worried about the deminsions fitting in my flat living area though - may have to do some mesureing up first - but thought if anybody else was liking the idea and looking - I'd suggest that because it's fairly cheap and large and appears as if it would proberly be able to go up with the guide ropes displayed in the picture...

I totally wanted the same thing! For my birthday, I got a thingie that hangs from the ceiling and has mosquito netting. I'm putting it over my bed. I'll bet if you're crafty you could just get a round frame (like on a chandelier), string curtains on it, and hang it from the ceiling.

I've always wanted a colonial-American style bed, and have actually considered constructing one using fabric and curtain rods. Maybe that could be a possibility.

Thanks for all your help guys... I found this nice over bed tent from Ikea - only I have a double bed- and even if I had a single putting over that wouldn't really be an option cos of the ocd - I need a clean clean space... I figured if I could find some way of attatching it I could put it up behind my sofa which is in an alcove space. So I'd have the wall one side - sofa the other, the tent drape thing overhead and a beanbag and cushions and b;ankets and stuff inside - now all I gota do is find a way to make that work
here's the tent anyway: It's at the bottom - MURMEL bed tent
