Hello...
I've been at college a week now, and after dealing with the fact that I'll have to get a new therapist here, things had been pretty good. I thought I was getting much better, not thinking about being depressed or hurting myself.
But then after just a few days of being here, and getting over the rush of meeting new people and seeing a new place, things went back to the way they were.
I've been wanting to cut so much and I've starting thinking of overdosing or just wanting to die so much. I haven't been able to sleep as well.
Before I left my therapist doubled my medication, which I think I've gotten used to by now, but I don't know if it's a good thing or what.
I'm having trouble coping and I don't know what to do. I'm so tired of feeling this way. I just want it to end.
Help...
So tired *minor si/su*
Hiya
I'm sorry you're finding life very hard right now. Going to college is a difficult time, and like you described it's easy to put so much effort into getting through the stress of the first week that once you're over that it can feel like a sudden "crash".
What support do you have? Have you found a new therapist yet? Even if not, there is bound to be a doctor or a college counselling service you can contact. What about family back home - do they understand what you're going through?
There are always ups and downs when you start college, but it's important to get this sorted out - you need to be feeling well when you're studying.
Take care of yourself
