mom noticed my scars from previous cutting today, but she called them scratches. i dont want her to find out that i cut yet. ive tried all the scar removal products, but obviously they are still there. i wanna be able to covr them up but not to obviously. reminder: i live in the desert and it summertime so its like 110 degrees, literally...

can you try wearing a strappy top or tank top with one of those light cotton button-down shirts over it, but leave it unbuttoned? you could always say you're worried about sunburn or something.

Hiya

Yes scars are really annoying when it's hot and everyone else is enjoying wearing short sleeves.

Have a look on Sourcebook - the Contents Page has a section on scars, dealing with scar removal things, camouflage make-up, and how to dress so that you are covered but comfortable.

Riley, I wish that you could just tell Mom. I know it's hard - the worry bout what she may think, but odds are your mom would want to know if her child was suffering and that's what this is: suffering in silence. If you are not ready, I understand, I've just begun telling people myself and now I can't stop. It seems the more I say it the more I realize that I'm opening myself up to other's so they can keep an eye on me.

If the scars are not too bad, I'd recommend a waterproof foundation just a tad bit darker than the cuts. . blend well and use a powder to soften the effect. Just my opinion. Love, Lisa

I wear sweatbands permenantly too. Problem is that as summer approaches people find sunbathing in them strange and ask annoying questions....

Yeah i know what you mean, its very difficult with sunbathing :-? i already have tan marks around my sweatbands... but its gonna be more difficult when i go on holiday and have to swim and stuff. i hate facing the same problem every summer, really sucks :(

could ware a neted long sleeve shirt and a t-shirt!
That way you could still hide your scars and wouldn't be as hot!
