I don't know what is up with this....but I can't cry. the last time I cried was over a month ago, when my girlfriend broke up with me. and before that, a year, almost exactly. and that was just one tear.
It seems like the only way I can cry is through my arms.

Yes I think that's a common experience, wanting the release of crying but somehow not being able to make it happen. There was a thread a while back where people posted some ideas for how to help themselves cry:

Well I was sort of different. I cried a lot. All the time. But I got no release from it, like if I were to cry now. That's why I started SI because I felt nothing when I cried. Try yelling and screaming. I am a huge metal head and if I had these bands in my life earlier, it would have made a huge difference. Now when I get pissed or upset I just scream really loud and yell along with a CD like Pantera or Slipknot. That helps a lot.

I'm sorry you can't cry. It's the same with me right now, and I really miss it. I told my friend (who cries easily) that she needs to give me something to cry about. I hope things will look up for you!

Crying is something that's hard to do. And sometimes it's the hardest thing to do that makes you feel better. It's hard for me to cry too, alone or around others. Hope things get better for you! Take care!!!
