I sleep more. It's easier to just lay in bed and nap all day when I'm sad.

My depression makes me sleep more. My meds make me sleepy, but paradoxically give me insomnia and make me unable to get any decent uninterrupted sleep. Go figure.
i scream for the sunlight or a car to take me anywhere
just get me past this dead and eternal snow
cause i swear that i'm dying, slowly but it's happening
so if the perfect spring is waiting somewhere
just take me there
and lie to me and say it’s going to be alright

Either I don't sleep anymore than an hour a night or I sleep over 10 hours a night with a three or four nap during the day.

i need an other option lol. i voted sleep less. but it is really hard to tell. i go through periods where i sleep 4 hours a night, then times where i sleep 6 and wake up 3 or 4 times, and then there are periods where i sleep 8 hours. lol.

Well - I can't really say I am totally 'depressed' right now, but for the past...

I really needed other, but I said about the same - for right now atleast. I used to sleep all the time and even during the day... all day long, then I couldn't sleep at all and was up at night. But now, feeling better (not so depressed atleast) I sleep regularly I guess. Sometimes I stay up late, and sometimes I can sleep a long time. It's in the middle. I don't know.

I voted 'sleep more'. If I'm really depressed I tend to cry myself to sleep, day or night.

Interestingly, I also have a condition called Sleep Apnea. My air ways close up at night and I stop breathing. Brain realises it's not getting enough Oxygen and wakes me up. Not actually awake but my body is. I do this hundreds of times a night. Obvious result is that I'm tired all the time. I have found that when this has been bad my depression actually gets a lot worse. SI'ing is often the release I need to make me have a good nights sleep. Crappy yeah?!

I sleep more. It's easier than having to face stuff, and I'm safer from myself that way.

sleep more usually. it fluctuates. Sometimes I sleep up to 14 hours in one go or I wake up multiple times a night, unable to fall back asleep for an hour or two. often I stay up very, very late because I find it so hard to face myself when I am trying to fall asleep - so I just vegetate in front of the puter or tv all day... *Sigh*

It varies.

When I'm in a really bad depressive episode I wake up very early, so I think I sleep less. Although I may well lie down for most of the day

When I'm still depressed but not as badly I seem to sleep a lot, although maybe not all in one chunk but in bits through the day.

And to complicate matters, some of the meds I've been on stopped me sleeping. The one I'm on now is meant to help sleep, but I'm not sure that it is...

Interesting.

I sleep all the time when I am depressed (which is often). I sleep until 11 or 11:30 in the morning, and I am usually back in bed for a nap from 2:00-5:00. Sometimes I take allergy pills to make me drowsy, so I don't have to think or feel anything for awhile. :(
