Things I have to remember:
I am an important person. Even more importantly than that, what I have to say is important. I have friends who are willing to help me; even if it feels like what they're doing is wrapping me up in cotton wool, it is with the best intentions. My friends need time to themselves, but that doesn't mean that they aren't still caring about me.
I am not forcing my burden upon anyone. My friends are there to help me carry it by choice. I am not a bad friend if I tell them my true feelings. Actually, I'm a better friend if I do.
Just because I SI doesn't mean I'm a bad person. I'm just a person who's learned bad coping skills. I am free to change this if I want. My life is not chained to one action. My SI is part of who I am, but it's not the whole thing.
It's something I wrote when I was trying to make myself feel better. Amazingly, it worked. By the time I got the first paragraph done, I actually believed that what I wrote was true.

personally, I've got to remember that I cannot take on the pain and hurt of everyone. I am too sensitive and my heart often hurts for other people. I need to remember that I have my own life and I know deep down that it is worth living and I need to grab it. I need to stop living through other people and live for myself.
