My replacement for SI

Post by ChaosCat » Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:22 am

I started eating habanero peppers when I want to cut. It pushes all other thoughts out of my head because they are just so hot. Capsaicin produces the sensation of fire in your mouth. When the fire hits, your mouth sends a signal to your brain that signals the release of endorphins. Just wanted to share in case anyone else wants to try.

I do too, similarly. I don't particularly like straight habeneros, but I've been eating chili with a lot of habenero garlic sauce lately. Helps.

I do that. But I take shots of hot sauce. It's never been as a conscious replacement though. It's just because I like it. But I do like that. I'll have to do that next time.

That's a good idea! I pretty much hate all spicy foods though so I don't think I could ever use that as a coping method. I get a good endorphin rush when I eat really sour stuff though.
