I would wake your husband if you are feeling unsure about it. He would probably much rather you be safe than you let him sleep.

:star: good luck! I hope you are alright....

Perhaps I am a little late, but I agree. Wake him up. I know it's something that would take a lot of courage for me to do, but wouldn't he be more upset if you didn't wake him and you did need stitches?

:1hug3: if ok. Have courage. Take a few deep breaths, try not to panic, and go wake your husband if you haven't already. You're ok.

Stevie

Thanks guys. I was in quite a panic. I ended up giving myself first aid (sticky bandage to pull back together) then i called the mental health 24 hour line and spoke to someone for an hour. I am seeing my GP on Monday so i just need to make sure it is ok over the weekend then I will get her to look at it for me. I didn't wake my husband but i will have to tell him today when he gets home from work. Can't hide my arm for 2 days!

Anyway, thanks again for the advice. Really appreciate it. :)

Well done for looking after it and calling mental health line. And it's good you're seeing the GP. I hope it's okay in the meantime.

Good luck telling your husband

The wind and I, we speak the same, but he don’t hear so well.
Well, you’re gonna have to curse him, well you’re gonna have to yell.
The sky and I, we’ve had our fights and I’m coming round to rain,
Well, if the rain come round and it don’t come out, then I’ll never have to speak again,
I can tick tick tick tick tick tick tick away.

Good job taking care of yourself! I know it isn't easy for me to pick up the phone and make those calls, so I admire you for being able to do so. Good luck telling your husband. :)

Tell, him, sweetheart. (hello, pot, this is the kettle.... - no one in my family knows and it has been going on for twelve years.) Think about how he'll react if he discovers it versus how he'll react if you tell him. Wouldn't it be better if he heard it from you? Have courage, dear one. You can do it.

Ok Stevie, what you said got to me :) I did end up telling my h. Just kinda slipped it into conversation. You know like...."oh speaking of shoes, I have a new cut..." Nice and subtle huh?!

Anyway, he took it well. He was disappointed in me but he didn't get angry this time. Just said he didn't care that he had to work early the next day, I should have woken him up. He has a point.

:-) Good for you! I'm so proud of you. Telling your husband took guts. And I'm glad he was receptive.

Now maybe if there's a next time, you'll wake him up, huh?

Again, good job! :1hug3:

Love,
Stevie

PS. If you ever need anything, feel free to PM me. My computer is always on.
