Everyone I love, my boyfriend, my grandmother, my friends, and my BUS family. This is why I try, because that's all worth trying for.

I try for the people I love, the people I loved, and the people I will love.
I try for them, and I try for myself.
I try for the people who give their time to help me, I try for the people who believe in me.
I try for the people who are kind to me, the people who tell me things will get better, the people who tell me I'm not a horrible person..

But I also try for the people who put me down, the people who tell me that I've ruined everything, and my life won't amount to much. I try for them, because I want to prove them wrong, and I want to surprise them..

I try, for the people in my future.. my future friends, my future boyfriends, the teenagers I want to help when I hopefully become a youth worker, the people I want to help in Africa.

At the end of the day, I try, because God put me on this earth for a reason, and he CAN and WILL use these awful times for his glory, if I allow him to. He will work wonders in me, and through me, and I try, because this life is the only one i have on this earth. I only get just one time around, I only get one shot at this, to quote a song..

my workers who are teaching me new skills and helping me learn stuff I missed out as a kid. Life skills that I felt ashamed for not knowing by now. My workers teach me and encourage me and give me constructive and objective advice. It can be called criticism but even if it is harsh it doesn't fit the negative connotation that the word criticism may imply. Their efforts make me want to try... and try harder!

At the moment, my boyfriend is the reason I try. He's my reason for looking forward to the next day, my reason for getting up despite the pain and the cold and the depression. He creates happiness that breaks through my sadness.

I try for my sweet precious niece.....because she appreciates everything that I do for her....cards, notes, surprises, and presents....she never says I don't like that, she always says Thank you for...and I really loved that,...and of course, I love you!

Since starting uni...Steve, one of my tutors. I've done so much because he thought I'd be able to, or because he encouraged me or offered support. Now I just have to think of his face if I can tell if I've done something I'd previously thought was impossible. And the people I've met here too...I try for them.
