HELP..............My mom just told me she wants nothing to do with this whole situation because it may drag her name through the mud. I love my mom dearly.....................but holy shit, get a fucking grip and come to the realization that not everyones life is in Oz. :argggh:[/code]

Can sort of relate though - my mum seems worried in case anyone finds out (surely that's my choice, shouldn't reflect on her!) and seems more bothered by my scars than by how I must have been feeling to have made them :bsad:

Dunno what to say, just try to be patient and hope she sorts it out in her mind and sees that you are more important....

I'm sorry she's reacting that way just now. It does hurt.

Yeah, my parents don't know, but I'm pretty sure my Mom's first reaction would be shame for the family name too. I think it would be followed by concern for me. But I couldn't deal with any of it. She raised me not to talk about such things. I shouldn't have emotions.
