Gaining a better understanding of yourself

Post by Searching » Sat Apr 24, 2004 10:59 am

I've found one of the most comforting things for me is being able to better understand who I am or why I do certain things. Perhaps you may already know, or have some sort of idea, but having a seperate party also make the assesment and at the same time hit the nail right on the head can really make the difference in becoming more secure with who you are, or how you can change to become better or make your own life better, because nobody is perfect.

One of the greatest resources I have found for being able to do this are online tests. There are alot of crappy personality tests out there that really won't tell you anything except for what you filled out in the survey, or the questions and results will be skewered that there is no possibly way it could be accurate in any sense. There are however, the few out there, that will give you incredible results, which are deep and thorough, and can literally scare you sometimes with their accuracy.

Here are a few of the tests that I have found to be better than others

More serious tests

Interesting tests that may be accurate

Remember to take all tests with a grain of salt. Not everything is going to be true, and results should be considered to be educated guesses. Good luck in your never ending quests to find yourself :)

I've found a couple of those tests before and tried them
And I have to agree..some of them can be freaky at how accurate they are.

I'll take a look at some of the ones you posted.

I wonder how many people are saying "fine" when they're not.

I think that from now on I'm going to look a little bit deeper...because I'm not the only one.

This is a really cool test that helps you figure out what personality type you are by what words you identify yourself with. In normal mode, you click on the words that describe you. In reversed mode, you click on the words that don't describe you. Then go look in your profile. Way cool. I was an ENF J/P. I was right in the middle for J and P.
