SHACA (*silly but important!)

Post by Twinky » Fri Jan 02, 2004 2:53 pm

Hello I would like to establish an action (well not really active action, but never the less an action) group called

 SHACA

Which stands for:
 Self
 Harmers
 Against
 Cat
 Accusations

How many times do our poor cats suffer the blame for the marks on our arms/legs/anywhere?
How many times do we blame these poor defenceless creatures when all they want to do is love us?
How do you know that when someone asks you what happened and you say "Oh the cat did it" that the next time they see the cat they won't kick it?

SHACA believes that:
Cats are lovely
Cats are our friends
False Accusations are wrong
Cats should not be blamed for something that they did not do

SHACA proposes that:
Anyone who becomes a member of SHACA will vow never to blame the cat for cuts
Members of SHACA will therefoe only ever blame other things like: Brambles, things sticking out of walls we did not see, dogs, rabbits, kids, rodents, and anything other than cats

Frist proposer: Twinky
Second proposer: urm... Twinky?

Yours  SHACA

If you would like to join SHACA please say "AYE" below!

Teehee!

 tehe.....I can say that I've never blamed the cat before....I jokingly blamed an attacking barb wire fence...and what's more starry is that the person I was joking with actually believed me...and then I felt bad....anyhoo...don't mind my ramblings...count me in.

Hi...

I don't have a cat of my own, but I do petsit...and in the past, sadly, I do believe I have blamed a cat! (so sorry kitties) But usually that hasn't been necessary as I have hidden my SI pretty well and now I am trying not to do so at all. Still, I'd like to join....

Take care,
ErinBear

you might find this of interest:-
Training Your Human

Training your human is a thankless task.
"Why bother with it?", some kittens may ask.
The fate of the world is the issue at hand,
as felines worldwide stake a claim for their land.
Make no bones about it, we cats own the joint.
We spray in the corners to drive home the point.

Some say the meek shall inherit the Earth,
But they've no fangs or claws, for what that's worth.
The cat is the ultimate species, you see,
We're poised to usurp man's authority.
These silly old humans who cannot play nice!
We cats are peaceful, we hate only mice.

Just what does training your human entail?
A host of fun things you must do without fail:
The sofas and rugs need a little makeover.
The La-Z-Boy's target for kitty takeover.
Then sleep on clean towels placed in the guest bath.
And make their best clothing a target of wrath.

Tear down those new drapes with a quick forceful tug.
Then tatter the pile of the new Berber rug.
And when they are sleeping, you block off their nose,
paw at their lower lip, chew on their toes.
Strut on the mantle. If they give any flack,
knock down their trophies and all bric-a-brac.

Shed on mom's new velvet black evening gown,
as she's headed out for a night on the town.
If they leave you home all alone for the night,
(Any human doing this can't be all that bright),
They're telling you by leaving, it's perfectly all right,
To totally redecorate 'til dawn's early light.
Knock over tables and chew up the fern.
Hurry, go faster! Soon, they'll return...

When they try to punish, you mustn't show concern.
(All attempts of discipline a pussycat should spurn.)
A snide flick of tail will convey no remorse,
but they will try harder to scold you, of course!
So, hide in the closet until they forget,
and then launch out just like an F-14 jet.

Tear up their ankle, their forearm, their hand,
then when they've had all the pain they can stand,
dart from the room while they call 9-1-1,
and celebrate victory: The felines have won!
To humans, however, the battle's begun,
as they steep in their anger and wish for a gun.

Pathetic and lumbering and clumsy to boot,
My friend, human dominance is really a hoot.
Take charge in your home. It's destiny, meow.
(The verses above have already told how.)
So sleep for an hour, and then grab some chow,
And then train your human, beginning right now.

*comes in, hangs head in shame*

I, ahem, *clears throat* recently blamed an "incident" on my loving  . Then I read your post and felt so  that I had to go directly to my husband and confess that it was not the  who had perpetrated said dirty deed but it was I who had done it to myself. :-? :o

:newangel: Having now done the right thing, and noticing that my husband is once again looking fondly at said  , I would like to apply for membership to SHACA...

Sincerely,
Nettie  &
her three :cat1: :cat2: :cat3: who will not get blamed again!

I can't say I haven't blamed my cat, but there have been times when he really is to blame. I can promise not to blame him when it isn't his fault though. My cat is EVIL, pure and simple evil. He attacks people without warning, often after HE has initiated friendly contact. If fact he is so evil I had to put him on Valium so I could let him outside and not have to worry he would shred my neigbors as they tried to reach their cars. My friends are afraid of him, sometimes I'M afraid of him. Of course he has his good points too, he's warm and cosy at night, just don't touch him or it's kinda like sleeping with a blender.

My other favorite silly excuse is that I had unprotected s*x with a porcupine! Also lawn mower wrestling.

As fun as this thread is...I think that we could really use SHACA to promote SI awareness....Like if we could come up with T-shirts....honestly....have a art contest on BUS to come up with some cool shirt ideas, sell them and use the proceeds to further NSIAD and other pro-informative SI projects....what do you all think??

I admit, I'm a victim of the cat scratch excuse (It works cause we have an evil cat). And I, also, have used the poor barbed wire fence. So, aye for me!

I must jump on the bandwagon here. I admit, I have used the cat excuse but then the person was mean and said I must have an aweful cat  I DON'T have an aweful cat, I have a LOVELY cat and I immediately felt bad for letting him take the blame.
