It won't help me reach my long term goals.
The temporary relief would not outweigh the anger and disappointment I'd have toward/about myself for giving in.
I want to make it to the three year si free point.

For me it encourages my avoiding looking at what the problem is and I don't want to continue to allow my anxieties and fears to control my life.

I don't want to SI as long as I do my internship in a kindergarten, working with really little kids so I distracted myself and took an emergency med till I fell asleep.

Last time I wanted to SI, I didn't because... one of my best friends made me promise to throw my blades away and I did. She also made me promise not to cut, and the last time I did, she found out and got really angry at me in the bookstore and it really scared me, so I don't want that to happen again.
