Cross off things on the "to-do" list and get them done, then focus on doing the more enjoyable things.

I feel anxious about my drawing assignment that's not finished, and irritated that there's no diet-friendly food in the house and upset with mself that i've had nothing but grains, pasta and muffin today.

what i'm going to do about it:
make myself finish the drawing... stop putting it off... I'll do it 10 minutes, take a break, draw for 20... now if only I can make myself start.
I ate an apple, that's healthy, but I still feel like my food intake today is failure. Ugh
Remind myself tomorrow is a new day.... and try not to think about all the responsibilities that come with new days.

tense.

get offline. make a list of everything that needs to be done and prioritize it. take a long shower. try to start doing some work.

I feel like I'm heading into a manic episode.

I am going to breathe.
I am going to remember that I've sidestepped the last few by taking very good care of myself, and I can do it again.
I am going to hide out here until the fear passes, and then try and get some sleep.
I am going to put the following in place:
:purpstar: I am going to make up my drops (I can't take traditional meds)
:purpstar: I am going to step back from stressful situations rather than throw myself at them
:purpstar: I am going to make myself lie in bed with my eyes closed, even if I don't think I can sleep. Usually, if I keep at it long enough, I fall asleep.
:purpstar: I am going to remember to eat well, drink enough water, and avoid coffee and soft drink. I am going to remember to take my vitamins if I can't figure out the whole food issue.
:purpstar: I am going to tell myself that it's ok to step back, that it's much, much better than getting full on manic and making bad choices.
:purpstar: I am going to run major choices past my gf, and check that it's actually a good idea, and not a bad idea that seems great in the moment and bites me on the butt later on.
:purpstar: :purpstar: :purpstar: I am going to remind myself that it's going to be ok.

Overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, all wound up. :omad:

What I'm going to do about it:

-laundry
-make doctor's and dental appointments for myself
-order a new part for the oven
-fix my computer
-hopefully fix my bike
-...and get down to doing my homework... (grrr)

I am going to:

Distract myself online to get rid of some of the urges.
Go to bed at a decent hour
Realize why I behaved the way I did and that all I can do is apologize and try to make it better in the morning.

I am tired, hurt, in pain, depressed, stressed.

I need sleep, to take care of my physical self as best as I can, do something possitive I like to beat depression, try not to let the stressors get to me.

tired. sad. stressed.

1. listen to music and do stuff online to calm me and distract from the sadness.
2. open uni stuff for a distraction and to get some things done so there is less to do.
3. go to bed for a nap whenever it feels appropriate. try not to feel silly for going to bed, you deserve to take care of yourself.
