I havnt in a while but one child in the center I am at noticed a rash I had from a mild allergy asked me what happened to my wrist and I realized I really did not want to have to explain any si injuries so it made me feel like I want to be able to work through my feelings before I get to the point of feeling I need to resort to si.

Because it takes too much effort, and I don't want to explain why to others.
Just let time tell the story, and act accordingly. (Phrase by myself)

I have just told someone I enormously care about that I've stopped for good, and I can't let her down.
...then one day I realised that the people you see in waiting rooms and car parks and on trains are really far more interesting. That they all have whole novels inside them, a fabric of scar tissues, photos and memories. They are comedies and tragedies and - more often - both at the same time.

I thought about how ugly the scars looked and that I didn't need any more of them and I thought about how much it would affect my friends and mother.
I managed to stop, but I still have the urge to. I can deal with it, though. :)

I don't want to have a fresh cut for my boyfriend to see.

We are on time, overly prepared, well read, and witty, intellectually curious, always moving… We drink coffee, a lot of it. We are on birth control, Prozac, and multivitamins… We are relentless, judgmental with ourselves, and forgiving to others.
