Mandalas :)

Post by Roxi » Sat Jul 19, 2008 8:13 pm

Something which I like to do as a distration when I feel triggered or when I am stressed out is to colour mandalas. They are nicer to colour by hand, but today my printer wasn't working so I used good old paint to do this one (below) ...it took ages (zooming in and colouring pixel by pixel) and I was feeling in a much safer space when I finially finished~! :)

Colouring mandalas is great :)

I have a bunch of velvet boards with lions on them that I colour (you colour in the white parts, not the black velvet parts) when I get bored or urgy.

I've made lions some VERY INTERESTING colours (who's ever heard of a turquoise lion?!)

I like mandalas too. :) I colored them a lot while I was in clinic, because there was a huge selection of different mandalas.

Yeah Roxi, those!

I never use the markers that come with them though because I have a shiny and good set of my own :)

I love to color Manadala,if I spell that right. It helps me to relax and to keep myself from thinking about what is bothering me. I love them!!

I colored it on the computer...didn't do the outline if that's what you mean though - just got a template from a website. It took me about half an hour; I am not very patient either, but when I am stressed I need something to focus all my enegry on

Haha I saw Tibetan monks make one in person, with the sand and everything! It was so cool. I even have a little vial of the sand they used :-D
