Okay, so here are the thing's that have really, really helped me SI less.
1) I know this sounds stupid, but I drew a really cute face on my hand, and labeled it "Bill". Any time I wanted to cut, I just looked at "Bill", and it just made me feel better.
2) Every time I've wanted to cut, I aim for the surrealness of it all. Before I cut, I tell myself "If I cut, it is going to hurt." and made myself believe it. Because I knew it was going to hurt, it wasn't so sureal, so I didn't get as much out of it, so cut less.
3) Also, I started karate! I think that one speaks for itself.

Thanks for those coping methods! I use the second one quite often... "It's going to hurt, you don't want to do this, it'll hurt too much" and it works sometimes. The Bill one, however, I haven't used, but I think I will Teehee, it's so cute!
Karate is expensive, but I'm glad it's working for you!

Wahey!! I've been doing karate for 2 and a half years! What sort of style is it?? Mine is Kyu-Shin-Do
I do think that it helps me on a bad day, for me Friday and Tuesday (which are the days I train) I've NEVER cut, because when I go and train those nights, even if beforehand I feel urgy, I (a) don't want blood stains on my karate gear and (b) the stress relief I get from it, especially when I shout on my techniques is great Perhaps when I feel bad again I should just train in the back garden or something, it might help me
Anyway great it's working for ya And same with the other coping methods

Ah fair enough, you'll find out eventually, the first few sessions just enjoy yourself especially with the pad work, once you start getting the hang of the technique it's awesome!!! Enjoy those sessions, shame I haven't got a session tonight
