A coping skill

Post by labbaw » Tue Jul 31, 2007 7:06 pm

I don't know if anyone has tried this, but I made 3x5 cards and on each card I put a coping skill on it. I made about 50 of these. For example, some of them say "take a shower", "go for a walk", "write a letter to an old friend", "list 10 things that I'm grateful for", and so on. Then when I'm in crisis I take out the cards and go through them. I go through and do as many as I need to do to help myself get through the moment. Hope this helps someone.
There is a reason for everything.
