Does anyone else use DBT?

tips on how to cope: dealing with your feelings, dealing with the consequences of self-harm in your life. share your ideas and maybe pick up some new skills, too. you don't have to want to stop to learn something new here.

Does anyone else use DBT?

I've been using DBT for a while and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. I think it depends on my willingness to use it at the time. My therapist has me using Diary Cards and I find these really helpful. Not with the self-harm urges but just with identifying my feelings. I'm lucky in that I can call my therapist day or night. But I try not to. She wants me to use the skills first. Anyway, just curious if others used DBT.

dialectical behavior therapy.
i was in intensive outpatient dbt for about three months, and it's helped me a lot with identifying my feelings and finding out about myself and my condition.

but yeah, it's hard to use. harder once you're not learning it every single day and you have to remember on your own. harder when you don't have someone to report to.
