I realized not so long time ago, that there is one thing, which always helps me when I feel need to SI.
I paint my nails and my toenails in nice bright red color. it takes some practice at first, but you learn as you go.
thing is - I get so into this process and at the end my nails are so pretty that I can't help but feel better and cutting urges go away for that moment.
maybe it sounds childish or useless, but it helps me, so I thought - it may help somebody else too.
my tip-maybe it will come in useful

I've heard that has worked for lots of people ![:) :)](./images/smilies/E1.gif)
Well done on fighting urges.

What helps me sometimes is to paint my nails, and then when I'm urgy to pick the nail polish off. A bit gross perhaps, but oddly satisfying and it works...

The freckles on the pavement move my every pore
I glimpse and stare and long at them and wonder who they’re for
A fairy came to glitter the concrete slabs today;
Perhaps tomorrow she’ll return to spirit me away
~ A little bit of nothing much ~
Save the only life you can - your own.
