really bad urge
really bad urge
I can feel it building up. That feeling when you know you're gonna cut. I usually do right after I take a shower, so I'm trying to avoid it for a little bit untill I figure out how not to cut. Anyone with some advice? I've gone a whole month, and I dont wanna mess it up.

Imagine how happy with yourself you'll be when you've gone two months, or three.
I can hear you're hurting.
Have you tried looking at your urges? Sorting them out? Maybe write a list of everything you're dealing with and then put it aside, watch some dvds or something and take a look later?
Go over to the Before and After forum maybe? It might help you to de-trigger yourself by talking about whats going on.
You can do it. I believe you can.

heya, youve done so well, you should be really proud!! what distraction techniques have you tried? maybe try using a red pen instead of actually cutting, or see how long you can hold onto a peice of ice?
One thing that someone told me to do is to draw the body part that you want to hurt and either draw on what you would like to do to it or actual use the tool that you would on yourself on the paper, it might help to get rid of your urge.
The urges will eventually get better and youll get stronger. All the best. You can do it, am here to help!

thanks everyone for your support, I managed to get through the hours untill finally passing out for bed =] not as bad as yesterday but I'm trying really hard. I have tried the ice, rubber band, and red marker trick but none really seem to work for me. I'm here for anyone else going through this, thanks again.
